Very nice and clean Canon A-1 bundle. The body of the camera is very well preserved - no brassing or major dents. Some minor superficial scratches on the painted surfaces, consistent with age and normal use. Tiny dent on the top edge of the prism cover (above "C" in Canon logo - pint intact) - please see photos. There is a small area of chipped paint under and next to the shutter release button - not really noticeable. Lettering on the dials is clear and bright. Film speed dial a is bit tight, but works fine. Shutter fires accurately at all speeds, film transport, timer and meter all work properly. Mirror release mechanism was lubricated and shutter is squeak-free. Viewfinder and focusing screen are bright and clear of dust. Original leatherette are in excellent shape. Battery door is intact and functional. Light seals and mirror guard were just replaced with fresh foam for years of trouble-free shooting ($25 value). The camera is equipped with a original finger grip, viewfinder eyecup, body cap and a vintage camera strap, as well as a brand new battery for the meter. This camera comes with a Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 S.C. normal prime lens in excellent condition. Lens optics are clean and clear, no fungus or scratches. Aperture is free from oil and functions properly. The barrel shows minimal wear, just a bit of brassing on the aperture ring and a couple of shallow dents on the front rim. The dents make mounting of the filters a bit difficult, but doable. The lens comes with a Hoya Skylight and 6xCross filters and generic front cap. In addition, this bundle also includes Canon power film winder A and Vivitar Auto Thyristor 283 power flash unit, both in excellent functional and cosmetic condition (require AA batteries for operation - not included). actory manuals for everything are included.
