Canon A-1 bundle in excellent, fully functional condition. One of the most advanced and full-featured Canon film cameras of its day, with a digital LED display for shutter speed and aperture and a full set of features. Robust camera, well regarded by advanced amateurs and semi-pro photographers, but user-friendly for a beginner.

 

FUNCTION

Shutter, timer, meter and film transport all work properly. Mirror release mechanism was lubricated and shutter is squeak-free. Light seals and mirror guard were just replaced ($25 value).
 

COSMETICS

Excellent+. No major blemishes, just small scratches on the bottom from normal use. No dents or paint loss. Bright and clean lettering on the dials. Focusing screen and viewfinder are pristine. Battery door is intact. Original leatherette is in excellent shape.

• C Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 prime lens in excellent condition. Glass is scratch-free, no fungus. Aperture is snappy and blades are free from oil. Focusing is smooth. The barrel shows minimal wear, all markings are bright. Canon front cap, collapsible Hoya hood and Circular Polarizer filter are included.
• Canon Speedlite 199A power flash in excellent condition, works properly (batteries not included). Some metal coating loss on the contacts inside battery holder, works fine with a piece of foil. Genuine Canon camera strap, body cap, a roll of film (expires, use at your own risk), generic camera case in good shape and a fresh battery for the camera.
