Canon A-1 in fully functional condition. One of the most advanced and full-featured Canon film cameras of its day, with a digital LED display for shutter speed and aperture and a full set of features. Robust camera, well regarded by advanced amateurs and semi-pro photographers, but user-friendly for a beginner. Full user manual is available at Butkus.org.

FUNCTION
Shutter and film transport work properly. Meter appears to respond properly to light, shutter and lens settings, but accuracy was not verified with film. Shutter is squeak-free. Self-timer light is inoperable, but the timer function works fine. Brand new seals were installed for years of trouble-free operation. Original finger grip and viewfinder cup are included.
 

COSMETICS
EXC. No major blemishes or dents, just some micro-scratches throughout from normal use and brassing on the bottom plate. Bright and clean lettering on the dials. Focusing screen and viewfinder are scratch- and dust-free. Original leatherette is in excellent condition. Battery door is intact.
 

COMES WITH

• Canon FD 50mm f/1.4 S.S.C. prime lens. Clean, no fungus or visible scratches on glass. There are traces of oil on the aperture, but it seems to operate properly. Focusing is smooth. The barrel of the lens shows normal wear consistent with age, no dents. There is a number engraved on one of the rings, close to the mount - please see the last photo. Genuine Canon front cap and lens hood, as well as two filters (skylight and circular polarizer) are included.
• Vivitar power flash unit in excellent working condition (batteries not included). Vintage camera strap and a fresh battery for the camera.
