One of the cleanest, best-preserved cameras we have in stock. This rare 1984 Olympics Canon A-1 film SLR is in near-mint condition. One of the most advanced and full-featured Canon film cameras of its day, with a digital LED display for shutter speed and aperture and a full set of features. Robust camera, well regarded by advanced amateurs and semi-pro photographers, but user-friendly for a beginner. Full user manual is available at Butkus.org.
Shutter, film transport and self-timer work properly. Meter appears to respond properly to light, shutter and lens settings, but accuracy was not verified with film. Shutter is squeak-free. Light seals and mirror guard are original and in good condition, but can be replaced by request ($29 extra). Original finger grip, hotshoe cover and viewfinder cup are included.
MINT-. No major blemishes or dents, just very small amount of brassing on the bottom from normal use. Bright and legible lettering on the dials. Focusing screen and viewfinder are dust-free. Original leatherette is in very good condition. Battery door is intact.
- Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 prime lens. Near-MINT condition, no scratches or fungus. Aperture is snappy and blades are oil-free. Focusing is smooth. The barrel of the lens shows minimal to no wear. Comes with genuine Canon front and rear caps and Hoya Skylight filter.
