Canon A1 Black 1980 Olympics
Flagship Canon SLR set, with everything you need to start or add your Canon collection. Canon A1 camera body is close to mint, with a Canon 50mm f/1.8 FD prime lens, Sunpak Auto 221 flash and Canon power winder A. Shutter fires accurately at all speeds, film advance, rewind and meter work properly. The only minor issue with this camera is that the self-timer doesnt seem to fire - the light works properly, indicating that electronics work, but the shutter doesn't release. Mirror release mechanism was lubricated and shutter is squeak-free and smooth. Body is clean and dent-free, just a small amount of brassing on the bottom panel. Battery door is intact and functional. Viewfinder and focusing screen are pristine. Light seals were replaced with new foam and felt, the cover is original and in excellent shape. Canon viewfinder eyecup, finger grip, original camera manual and Canon camera strap are included.
Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 prime lens is very good shape, with scratch- and fungus-free glass. There is minor amount of paint loss on the nose of the barrel. All rings rotate smoothly, aperture is snappy. The lens comes with a 1980 Olympics front cap in excellent condition.
This particular set also includes Sunpak auto 221 flash unit and Canon power winder A. Both function great with the camera and have no rust or corrosion in battery compartments. Both the flash and winder operate on AA batteries (not included). This is one of my personal all-time favorite film SLR's - dont miss this beautiful set.
