Scarce black-body version of a popular Canon AE-1 film SLR in fully functional restored condition. Robust and user-friendly camera - perfect for a student or beginner film shooter, great alternative to a Pentax K1000. Full user manual is available at Butkus.org.

FUNCTION
Shutter, film transport and and self-timer work properly. Meter appears to respond properly to light, shutter and lens settings, but accuracy was not verified with film. Shutter is squeak-free. Light seals and mirror guard have been replaced.
 

COSMETICS
EXC. No dents or major blemishes. Very minor brassing mostly on bottom and next to strap lugs. Bright and clean lettering on the dials. Focusing screen and viewfinder are clean, with just a few tiny specs of dust (will not affect shooting) There is a small chip on the corner of the viewfinder glass. Rewind knob has been replaced with a silver version, functions properly. Original leatherette is in excellent condition, with a couple of areas of discoloration. Battery door is intact.
 

COMES WITH

• Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 S.C. prime lens. EXC condition, no scratches or fungus, just a touch of haze behind the front element (will not affect performance). Aperture is snappy and oil-free. Focusing is a touch grainy, but works well. The barrel of the lens shows minimal wear, with one shallow dent on the front rim, which makes mounting of the filters a bit hard but possible. New generic front cap and a UV filter included.
• Canon film Winder A2 and Sunpak Auto 30DX Thyristor power flash (both functional and clean, batteries not included). Small chip on one corner of the flash shoe mount. Vintage camera strap, factory brochures and a fresh battery for the camera.
