CANON AE1 Program 1984 Olympics
Canon AE1 Program Chrome 1984 Olympics
Canon AE-1 Program is one of most highly regarded and popular film SLRs. This particular camera is in beautiful shape, just a tiny bit of chrome pitting on the top, and some scratches on the bottom from normal use with the winder. Shutter fires accurately at all speeds, film advance, rewind and meter work properly (accuracy was not verified with film). Mirror release mechanism was lubricated and shutter is smooth and squeak-free. Viewfinder and focusing screen are bright and clear from dust. Light seals and mirror bumper were just replaced ($25 value). The camera comes with the genuine Canon finger grip and hotshoe cover.
The camera is equipped with a Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 prime lens, complete with a nice Hoya HMC Skylight filter and a genuine 1984 Olympics Canon front cap. Lens glass is in exceptional condition, scratch- and fungus-free. Aperture blades are free from oil, and functions perfectly. Barrel shows no signs of use. Second lens in this set is a nice compact Albinar ADG 28mm f/2.8 Macro wide-angle prime with both front and rear caps. Not a throw-away lens by any means, very useful for landscapes and architectural photography. Glass is scratch-free, focusing and aperture action is smooth, barrel is clean. In addition, this set also includes Canon Power film winder A, that seems to work well with the camera (AA batteries not provided). Padded Promaster camera strap, fresh battery (for the camera only) and original manuals for the camera and the winder are included.NOT TESTED WITH FILM
