Advanced Minolta SLR from late 70's, XD5 shares a lot of design elements with Leica R4. This particular camera has just been restored to Exc condition. Shutter is very smooth and quiet, fires accurately at all speeds, film advance, rewind, and meter work properly. Viewfinder is bright and clear from dust. Timer is a bit sluggish, but will loosen up with consistent use. This camera has been finished in Black Frosted Snake pattern suede, for an amazing look and feel. Minor scuffs throughout the body were polished and don't detract from overall appearance. Small amount of chrome pitting around the dials, and one area of paint loss on the top corner - please see photos. No dents or major scratches, this camera is very well preserved. Light seals and mirror bumper were replaced.
The camera is equipped with Minolta MC Rokkor-X PF 50mm f/1.7 standard prime in excellent condition. Lens glass is clear and free of scratches. All rings rotate smoothly, aperture blades are oil-free and function perfectly. There is a shallow dent on the front rim, which may interfere with filter mounting. Generic front cap for the lens, original Minolta camera strap and body cap are included.
