Advanced Minolta SLR from the late 1970's, XD5 shares a lot of design elements with Leica R4. It is missing just a couple of minor convenience features, compared to Minolta's flagship XD11 model - aperture window in the viewfinder, film advance indicator on the back panel. Mechanically and electronically, the two cameras are identical, including aperture and shutter priority shooting modes. This particular camera looks sparingly used and comes with a full set of manuals, high-quality fast 50mm lens and even original carton box!
Shutter, meter, and film transport work properly. Self-timer is a bit sluggish, which is common in 40-year old cameras, and should bet better with regular use. Brand new light seals and mirror guard installed ($25 value).
EXC+ No dents, brassing or major scuffs, just a few small scratches from normal use - mostly on the bottom of the camera. Bright and sharp lettering on the dials. Focusing screen and viewfinder are bright and clear. Original leatherette was professionally replaced with a new Onyx Lizard genuine leather cover - classy and unique.
- Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50mm f/1.7 prime lens, MINT condition. Very nice normal prime lens, made in Japan. Crystal-clear glass, with no visible scratches or fungus. Aperture is snappy and blades are free from oil. Focusing is a touch tight but smooth. The barrel of the lens is practically brand new, no dents. The lens comes with a new generic front cap, Minolta rear cap and two filters - Vivitar UV and Tiffen circular polarizer.
- FREE BONUS: Sears 80-200mm f/4 telephoto zoom lens. Great condition, clean glass, no oil on diaphragm. Comes with a rear cap and as dedicated hard case. Minolta Auto 132x flash unit (looks to be in excellent shape, with some corrosion in battery compartment - untested, batteries not included). Original leather bag for the flash.
Genuine Minolta camera strap, body cap, original factory manuals and box for the camera and a set of fresh batteries.
