Minolta XD5 film SLR in excellent restored condition. Co-developed with Leica, XD series cameras were revolutionary at the time and is still widely considered to among the best film cameras Minolta ever produced. They were the first Minolta SLRs to feature automated shutter-priority mode. "Little brother" to the flagship XD11, XD5 is missing just a couple of convenience features of this thought-after camera, in an arguably more robust package. Both models share design elements with Leica R4 and are an excellent choice for a student or advanced film shooter.
Shutter, meter, self-timer and film transport work properly. Brand new light seals installed.
Excellent. No major cosmetic blemishes, just a few micro-scratches from normal use. Bright and sharp lettering on the dials. Focusing screen and viewfinder are clear, with just a few tiny specs of dust (no effect on operation). Original leatherette was professionally replaced with a new genuine pigskin leather embossed in "Black Alligator" pattern.
- Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50mm f/1.7 normal prime lens. Excellent condition, with scratch-free glass, no fungus. Aperture is snappy, blades have traces of oil, but close properly. Focusing is a bit grainy, but consistent. The barrel shows minor wear, no dents. Hoya Skylight filter, circular polarizer and new generic front cap are included.
- Vintage camera strap and a set of fresh batteries.
