Another copy of Minolta XD5 film SLR we have aavailable - this one customized with "Camo" suede. Co-developed with Leica, XD series cameras were revolutionary at the time and is still widely considered to among the best film cameras Minolta ever produced. They were the first Minolta SLRs to feature automated shutter-priority mode. "Little brother" to the flagship XD11, XD5 is missing just a couple of convenience features of this thought-after camera, in an arguably more robust package. Both models share design elements with Leica R4 and are an excellent choice for a student or advanced film shooter.
Shutter, meter, self-timer and film transport work properly. Brand new light seals installed ($25 value).
Very good. No major cosmetic blemishes. Minor chrome pitting on top, next to the shutter speed dial, one small chip of paint above XD5 logo. Some brassing on sides of the camera. Bright and sharp lettering on the dials. Focusing screen and viewfinder are clear, with just a few tiny specs of dust (no effect on operation). Original leatherette was professionally replaced with a new "Camo" pattern suede. Shimmering browning tone, very pleasant to hold.
- Minolta MC W. Rokkor 28mm f/2.8 wide-angle prime lens. Seldom seen with this camera, the lens is in overall EXC+ condition, with scratch-free glass. There is a small patch of internal fungus, which will not affect optical performance. Aperture is snappy, blades are oil-free. Focusing is smooth. The barrel shows minimal wear, no dents. Original vintage Minolta front cap is included.
- FREE BONUS: Soligor 35-140mm f/3.8-5.6 macro zoom lens (seems clean and operates properly but untested). Rear cap included.
- Vintage camera strap, Minolta leather bag, body cap and a set of fresh batteries.
