Minolta XE-series film cameras are becoming increasingly hard to find in good condition. One of the most popular film SLR of the 1970's, these were built like tanks! The exposure setting is either meter-assisted manual or aperture-priority automatic; vertical running metal blade shutter with speeds from 4s to 1/1000 s, including mechanical back-up settings of 1/90 and B.
This particular camera is in EXC++ condition, with no significant brassing, scratches or dents. Shutter fires accurately at all speeds, film advance, rewind, timer and meter all work properly. Meter is a bit sluggish to react, which is typical for the camera of this age, but appears to match expected readings closely (not verified with film). Viewfinder and focusing screen are bright and clear, no dust or prism de-silvering visible. Light seals and mirror bumper were replaced.
This camera comes with Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50mm f/1.7 standard prime lens in excellent shape, with clear, scratch-free glass. No dents, no fungus or oil on aperture blades, all rings rotate smoothly, aperture is snappy. Vintage Minolta body cap, UV filter, colorful vintage camera strap and set of fresh batteries are included.
