Restored classic Pentax K1000 SE film SLR in original brown leatherette. Only about 10% of all K1000's were produced with a focusing screen that incorporates a split image rangefinder with a microprism collar, making it more convenient to use - "Special Edition". Perfect camera for a student learning photography.
The body of the camera is clean and free from major dents or scuffs. There some brassing of painted surfaces throughout, some shallow scratches consistent with normal use and age of the camera. The camera was fully cleaned and lubricated inside and out and works great. Shutter fires accurately at all settings, film transport and meter work perfectly. There is minor discoloration on the shutter curtain (no effect on function). Viewfinder and focusing screen are bright and clear from dust. The internal foam around the prism was replaced, new light seals and mirror bumper installed ($25 value). Original brown leatherette on this camera is in good condition.
This bundle includes two lenses - SMC Pentax-M 50mm f/2.0 normal prime and Tokina SD 70-210 f/4.5-5.6 telephoto zoom. Optics of both lenses are clean, no visible scratches or fungus - just minor internal dust (normal). Aperture action is snappy and blades are oil-free. Barrels of the lenses show moderate signs of wear, with age-appropriate paint loss on the aperture rings and front rim. There is a couple of small dings on the focusing ring of the 50mm lens (no effect on the function). Skylight filter, front caps for both lenses, Pentax camera strap and a fresh battery for the meter are included.
