Highly desirable, scarce Pentax K1000 SE in excellent shape. This SLR is superior to a regular edition K1000, with a higher quality focusing screen. The camera was obviously well-cared for and shows minimal signs of use: some age-appropriate brassing around the corners of the film door and viewfinder frame, a tiny (1/8") dent on one of the top corners, no major scratches. Shutter fires perfectly at all speeds, film advance, rewind and meter all work properly (meter accuracy was not verified). Viewfinder and focusing screen are bright and clean. Light seals and mirror bumper were just replaced with fresh foam for years of flawless service. The camera is equipped with SMC Pentax-M 50mm f/2.0 normal prime lens in very nice condition. No visible scratches on the glass or fungus, aperture blades are free from oil. Focusing is smooth, aperture action is snappy. Barrel is clean and scratch free, with just a little bit of brassing on the front rim. The camera comes with a full complement of high-quality 49mm Vivitar filters, including a polarizer, 85, 80C and a set of close up lenses - all in their original boxes, appear unused. We also include a brand new UV filter for the lens, as well as a tight-fitting original Pentax front cap. In addition, a fresh battery for the meter, original Asahi Pentax leatherette camera case (in fair shape) and Pentax camera strap are included. Excellent set, very clean.
