Pentax K1000 SE in excellent condition. Only 1 in 10 of K1000's produced are "Special Edition". This version of the camera is equipped with a focusing screen that incorporates a split image rangefinder with a microprism collar, making it more convenient to use. The body of this unit is free from dents or bassing. There is a tiny amount of chrome pitting on the back of the top panel. The camera was fully cleaned and lubricated inside and out and works great. Shutter fires accurately, film transport and meter work perfectly. Viewfinder and focusing screen are bright and clear, with just a few tiny dust particles, which will not affect the quality of your photos in any way. There is a faint line at the bottom of the prism, due to minor de-silvering - only visible when looking through the viewfinder from a distance and will not interfere with shooting (when your eye is close to the camera). The foam around the prism was replaced, new light seals and mirror bumper installed ($25 value). This body comes with SMC Pentax-A 50mm f/2.0 normal prime lens in EXC condition. Optics of the lens are perfect, no visible scratches or fungus. Focusing works well, aperture action is snappy and blades are oil-free. Barrel shows shows minimal signs of wear, just some paint loss on markers of the distance scale. The lens comes with a genuine Pentax front cap and a generic UV filter. Second lens is a Tou/Five Star 75-200 f/4.5 telephoto zoom (untested, with both caps). Fresh battery for the meter and a genuine Pentax camera strap are included. Nice clean film camera for a collector or a student.
