Another beautifully restored Pentax K1000 SE film SLR. Only 1 in 10 of K1000's produced are "Special Edition". This version of the camera is equipped with a focusing screen that incorporates a split image rangefinder with a microprism collar, making it more convenient to use.
The body of this unit is well preserved. No dents, major scratches or brassing, just a couple of areas of minor chrome pitting on the top cover. Shutter fires accurately at all settings, film transport and meter work perfectly. Viewfinder and focusing screen are pristine. New light seals (including internal around the prism) were just installed.
This camera comes with a nice set of lenses:
SMC Pentax-A 50mm f/1.7 normal prime (fast lens, high quality!)
Takumar Bayonet 135mm f/2.8 portrait/telephoto (great for close-ups!)
Asanuma 2x Auto teleconverter (great for extending your reach for nature photography!)
All lenses are made in Japan and in excellent shape - no visible scratches on glass or fungus. Focusing is smooth, aperture action is snappy and blades are oil-free. Barrels show practically no signs of wear. Front and rear caps are included, as well as Skylight filters for the 50mm and 135mm primes. Original Pentax camera strap, generic camera case and a fresh battery for the meter are included. Great value in this set.
