Popular student camera, this particular Pentax K1000 is in excellent functional and cosmetic condition and will suit an advanced film-shooter just as well. "Special Edition" variant with a more convenient focusing screen.

FUNCTION

Shutter and film transport work properly. Meter responds to light, lens aperture and shutter speed settings, but accuracy was not verified with film. Light seals and mirror guard have just been replaced ($25 value) .
 

COSMETICS

Excellent. No major scratches or dents (just one tiny scuff on the prism cover), minor paint loss on the film door frame and micro-scratches on the bottom from normal use. Clean and sharp lettering on the shutter speed dial. Focusing screen and viewfinder are bright and dust-free. Original leatherette is very good condition, with a couple of small areas of discoloration on the back - please see photos.

• SMC Pentax-M 50mm f/2.0 normal prime lens. Clean, scratch-free glass, no fungus. Aperture is snappy and blades are free from oil. Focusing is smooth. The barrel of the lens shows minimal wear, no dents. The lens comes with a new generic front cap and two 49mm filters: Polarizer and Vari-cross, in leatherette cases.
