One of the rarest versions of the venerable Pentax K1000 - this particular camera was manufactured in Japan, during initial production run in 1975. After 1977, Pentax moved production to Hong Kong and, later, China (with a significant drop in quality). Early production, "Made-in-Japan" units are highly collectable and getting exceedingly hard to find.
Shutter and film transport work properly. Meter responds to light, lens aperture and shutter speed settings (compared to in-house standard appears dead on, but accuracy was not verified with film). Light seals (including internal, around the prism) and mirror guard have been replaced.
