  • Pentax K1000

One of the rarest versions of the venerable Pentax K1000 - this particular camera was manufactured in Japan, during initial production run in 1975. After 1977, Pentax moved production to Hong Kong and, later, China (with a significant drop in quality). Early production, "Made-in-Japan" units are highly collectable and getting exceedingly hard to find.

Shutter and film transport work properly. Meter responds to light, lens aperture and shutter speed settings (compared to in-house standard appears dead on, but accuracy was not verified with film). Light seals (including internal, around the prism) and mirror guard have been replaced.

EXC+. No dents or other major blemishes. Small scuffs on the bottom, and minor paint loss on the viewfinder frame. Clean and sharp lettering on the shutter speed dial. Focusing screen and viewfinder are pristine. Original leatherette is in excellent condition, but can be replaced with a custom leather cover at buyer's request .

    • SMC Pentax 55mm f/2 normal prime lens. EXC+ condition, scratch-free glass, no fungus. Aperture is snappy and blades are free from oil. Focusing is smooth. • A set of 55mm Tiffen magnifying filters and a 52mm blue filter. Asahi Pentax adapter for M42 screw-mount lenses.
