Another restored, fully working Pentax KX two-lens bundle. Big brother to the classic Pentax K1000 film SLR, KX was a camera of choice for many Pentax enthusiasts when it was introduced in late 1970's as part of the original K-mount series of cameras. In addition to the K1000 standard features, it comes with a self-timer, lens stop-down switch, shutter speed indication and lens aperture window in the viewfinder. Unlike K1000, KX was produced in Japan, which is indicated by the factory engraving on the back of the camera.Very capable, robust film SLR, suitable for a beginner or advanced film shooter alike.

FUNCTION
Shutter, self-timer and film transport work as designed. Meter responds properly to light, lens aperture and shutter speed settings, but accuracy was not verified with film. Shutter speed indicator needle moves properly in the viewfinder. Light seals and mirror guard have just been replaced. NOTE: Battery test button doesn't seem to work (this doesn't affect camera operation).
 

COSMETICS
EXC. No dents or major cosmetic blemishes, just minor pain loss on the film door edges, and some bassing next to strap lugs. Bright and sharp lettering on the shutter speed dial. Focusing screen and viewfinder are clear or dust. Original leatherette is in very good condition.
 

COMES WITH

• SMC Pentax 45-125mm f/2 zoom lens. EXC+ condition, no scratches or fungus on glass. Aperture is snappy and blades are free from oil. Zooming is quite tight, but should get better with regular use. Focusing is smooth. The barrel of the lens shows very little wear. The lens comes with a rare plastic Pentax front cap and dedicated leather bag.
• Chinar 28mm f2.8 lens. Nice and compact wide-angle prime, perfect for landscapes. Comes with Chinar front and rear caps.
• A set of fresh batteries for the camera.
