Rare collector's item, Ricoh XR-S is a very unique camera. Years ahead of its time, it was made to use built-in mini solar elements on top cover in combination with a unique rechargeable battery to power the camera functions! Those batteries are no longer available, but the camera will work just fine on a set of regular button cells (included). Features include a robust electronic metal shutter, aperture priority mode and compatibility with a plethora of excellent K-mount lenses. Made in Japan quality. FUNCTION
Shutter, film transport and and self-timer work properly. Meter appears to respond properly to light, shutter and lens settings, but accuracy was not verified with film. Brand new seals and mirror guard installed for years of trouble-free operation.
 

COSMETICS
EXC, no major cosmetic blemishes, just some small dings and scratches throughout consistent with age, some brassing on the hinge of the film door. Bright and clean lettering on the dials. Focusing screen and viewfinder are clear of dust. Original leatherette has been professionally replaced with genuine Solar Orange leather - perfect match for the camera.
 

COMES WITH

• Rikenon P 50mm f/2 prime lens. MINT condition, scratch-free optics, no fungus. Aperture is snappy and oil-free. Focusing is smooth. The barrel of the lens looks new. Original Rikenon front cap included.
• Promaster 80-200mm f/4.5 macro zoom lens, with both caps. Excellent condition, not tested.
• Set of batteries for the camera, body cap and a roll of film (expired, use at your own risk).
