One of the most basic film cameras, FX-3 will shoot without batteries! Equipped with a robust metal-leaf mechanical shutter and C/Y lens mount, compatible with a vast range of high quality Carl Zeiss, Yashica and third party lenses. Great camera for a beginner photographer, learning to shoot film properly. This unit was just restored and works great.
Shutter, meter, film transport, timer all work properly. Brand new light seals and mirror guard installed for years of trouble-free operation.
Very good. No major dents or scratches, some brassing and nicks from normal use on the bottom and film door frame. Bright and clean lettering on the shutter dial. Focusing screen and viewfinder are bright, with just a few tiny specs of dust (no effect on operation). Original leatherette was replaced with new genuine leather cover embossed in Red Python pattern - for unique custom look.
Yashica ML 50mm f/1.9 prime lens. No visible scratches on the glass, but there is some internal dust and debris - the lens is clear and will perform well for you as a starter. Aperture is snappy and blades are oil-free. Focusing is smooth. The barrel of the lens is in very good condition, but the front rim was dented which will interfere with filter mounting. Generic front cap is included. Yashica ML-series lenses are well known for their excellent optical quality - often compared to Carl Zeiss equivalents. Vintage camera strap and fresh batteries for the camera meter.
