Yashica FX-70 is a basic 35mm film camera, perfect for those studying photography, or simply enjoying shooting with film. It features TTL metering, self timer, LED indicator of shutter speed in the viewfinder as well as AE lock and automatic aperture priority mode. One of the best features of this camera is that you can mount very high quality Contax / Carl Zeiss lenses, as well as Yashica's own ML-series, which are readily available here on Ebay, cheap and almost as good. They are reliable cameras, with a simple mechanical focal plane shutter. They are also very light, comfortable to hold and feel well-balanced, unlike some of the other popular manual SLR choices from the 70's and 80's. We have several of these bodies in excellent condition, fully functional and ready to be customized for you. Shutter fires accurately at all speeds, film advance, rewind and meter all work great. Viewfinder and focusing screen are clean, with only a few specs of internal dust.Minor scratches, paint loss or brassing may be present, but overall the cosmetics are excellent with no major dents of scratches. This is one of the lowest price bodies we have available, and is a great deal for anyone looking for a spare body with C/Y mount.
