Fully functional Yashica FX-D Quartz Special Edition, just restored for your enjoyment. Simple to use, easy to carry, ergonomic film SLR, FX-D features aperture-priority shooting, as well as full range of manual shutter speeds, AE lock and self-timer. Arguably the best model of the Yashica FX-series, FX-D is equipped with a robust metal-leaf quartz-controlled shutter and C/Y lens mount, which allows it to be used with used with a vast range of high quality Carl Zeiss, Yashica and third party lenses. This particular camera is a more rare, "Special Edition" version.

Shutter, meter, film transport, timer all work properly. Brand new light seals and mirror guard installed.
 

COSMETICS

Very good. Minor scuffs and chrome pitting, mostly on the top cover, consistent with normal use and the age of the camera. Bright and clean lettering on the dials. Focusing screen and viewfinder are dust free and bright, just a couple of faint lines at the bottom from previous cleaning (no effect on photo quality). Minor corrosion inside battery cap (no effect on function). Original leatherette professionally replaced with genuine leather embossed in Red Snakeskin pattern.

• Yashica ML 42-75mm f/3.5-4.5 compact zoom lens, close to mint condition. Crystal clear glass, no visible scratches or fungus. Aperture is snappy and blades are free from oil. Focusing and zooming are smooth. The barrel of the lens is in excellent condition, just a small area of paint loss on front rim, no dents. Comes with a UV filter and new generic front cap.
• StarBlitz compact power flash unit. Works great with the camera (batteries not included). Vintage camera strap and a set of fresh batteries.
