Ergonomic and compact, Yashica FX-D is a pleasure to use, highly under-rated film SLR. Reliable metal leaf shutter, full range of manual shutter speeds with bright and easy-to-read LED exposure scale in the viewfinder, aperture priority mode, exposure lock, timer - this little camera has everything you will ever need to enjoy shooting film. Arguably the best designed camera of the Yashica FX-series, it shares a lot of features with a Contax 139. In addition to Yashica branded glass, Contax and Carl Zeiss lenses can also be mounted on this camera, which makes it attractive cost-effective alternative to Contax bodies.

 

Body of this camera is in EXC+ condition - just a couple of barely visible scuffs on the top of the prism cover. Lettering on the dials is crisp and bright. Shutter fires properly at all speeds, film transport, timer and meter all work great. Viewfinder and focusing screen are pristine. Original leatherette on this body was professionally replaced with genuine pigskin in Red Alligator embossed pattern - looks stunning. Light seals and mirror guard were replaced ($25 value). This camera comes with two lenses - Yashica ML 50mm f/2.0 normal prime and Starblitz 80-200mm f/4.5-5.5 Macro telephoto zoom. ML-series prime lenses are highly regarded, sometimes compared to Carl Zeiss product in image quality. Both lenses are in excellent condition, with clear, scratch-free glass, no fungus - just some minor internal dust (this is normal and will not affacte your photos). Apertures are oil-free and function properly. Barrels show practically no signs of use. Lenses come with a brand new 52mm UV filter, quality Zeikos circular polarizer and generic front caps. Fresh batteries for the meter, body cap, camera strap and genuine Yashica leather case are provided with this camera. Finally, this set also includes Yashica CS-220 auto flash which syncs and fires properly (requires AA batteries -not included).
