Yashica FX-D is arguably the best compact SLR in Yashica FX series, sharing many features with Contax 139. Very ergonomic, light and easy-to-carry camera, with aperture-priority shooting, full range of manual shutter speeds, exposure lock and self-timer. Like other FX- series Yashicas, this SLR is equipped with a robust metal-leaf quartz-controlled Copal shutter and C/Y lens mount, which allows it to be used with used with a wide range of high quality Carl Zeiss, Yashica and third party lenses. Seriously under-rated camera, made in Japan.
Shutter, meter, film transport, timer all work properly. Brand new seals and mirror guard installed for years of trouble-free operation.
Very good. Minor brassing and small scratches throughout, consistent with normal use and age (see photos). Bright and clean lettering on the dials. Focusing screen and viewfinder are bright, with just a couple of tiny specs of dust (no effect on function). Original leatherette was replaced with brand new Maroon-colored leatherette.
- Yashica DSB 50mm f/1.9 prime lens. MINT- condition, clear glass, no scratches or fungus. Aperture is snappy and blades are oil-free. Focusing is smooth. The barrel of the lens shows practically no signs of use. Genuine Yashica front cap is included. BONUS: A set of Samigon close-up lenses, mint in original box.
- Sunpak Auto 121 power flash in very good working condition (batteries not included). Hot shoe mount has a small chip, but the flash still mounts fine. Generic camera strap, a roll of film (expired, use at your own risk!) and a set of fresh batteries for the meter.
