Rare 1984 Olympics Canon A-1 in excellent condition, with clean FD 50mm prime lens and a bonus zoom. One of the most advanced and full-featured Canon film cameras of its day, with a digital LED display for shutter speed and aperture and a full set of features. Robust camera, well regarded by advanced amateurs and semi-pro photographers, but user-friendly for a beginner. Full user manual is available at Butkus.org.
Shutter, film transport and self-timer work properly. Meter appears to respond properly to light, shutter and lens settings, but accuracy was not verified with film. Shutter is squeak-free. Light seals and mirror guard are in very good shape, but can be replaced at buyer's request . Original finger grip and viewfinder cup are included.
EXC. No major blemishes or dents, just moderate brassing on the bottom from normal use. Bright and legible lettering on the dials. Focusing screen and viewfinder are clear of dust. Original leatherette is in very good condition. Battery door is intact.
- Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 prime lens. Near-MINT condition, no scratches or fungus. Aperture is snappy and blades are oil-free. Focusing is smooth. The barrel of the lens practically no wear. Comes with genuine Canon front cap featuring 1984 Olympics logo and a generic UV filter.
- FREE BONUS: Samyang 28-70mm f/3.5-4.5 normal zoom lens. Clean optically, focusing and aperture works fine, minimal wear on the barrel. Comes with both front and rear caps.
- Sunpak power flash (some corrosion inside battery compartment, works fine, batteries not included). Canon camera strap, roll of film (expired, use at your own risk) and a fresh battery for the camera.
