Arguably the best compact SLR in Yashica FX series, FX-D is an excellent full-featured alternative to more bulky cameras often recommended for photography students. Very ergonomic with aperture-priority shooting, full range of manual shutter speeds, exposure lock and self-timer. Like other FX- series Yashicas, this SLR is equipped with a robust metal-leaf quartz-controlled Copal shutter and C/Y lens mount, which allows it to be used with used with a wide range of high quality Carl Zeiss, Contax, Yashica and third party lenses. Seriously under-rated camera, made in Japan, shares many features with Contax 139.

FUNCTION
Shutter, meter, film transport, timer all work properly. Brand new seals and mirror guard installed for years of trouble-free operation.
 

COSMETICS

EXC++, no dents or major scratches. A few small dings on the bottom - please see photos. Bright and clear lettering on the dials. Focusing screen and viewfinder are dust-free. Original leatherette was professionally replaced with brand new lambskin leather embossed with Onyx Lizard pattern.

• Yashica MC 28-80mm f/3.9-4.9 Macro zoom lens. Rare lens, in near mint condition, crystal clear glass, no scratches or fungus. Aperture is snappy and blades are oil-free. Focusing is smooth. The barrel of the lens shows minimal signs of use. Original Yashica front and rear caps are included.
• Genuine Yashica soft camera bag (could use some cleaning), vintage strap, body cap and a set of fresh batteries for the camera.
